The Summer Rivalry Classic Baseball Tournament is a wooden bat tournament which is being held in Massachusetts at Bentley University on Monday August 13 and Tuesday August 14, 2012. The rain date will be Wednesday August 15, 2012. The top players will be selected to play in an Elite Showcase being held at Yankee Stadium on Thursday, August 16 and Red Sox's Fenway Park Friday, August 17, 2012.

The mission of the tournament is to keep alive the hopes and dreams of young New England high school baseball players by providing them the opportunity to be seen and evaluated by professional coaches and scouts in order to advance their potential at the college level and beyond.
 
There will be four teams chosen to participate in three games. All teams will be coached by MLB Scouts and evaluated by College coaches as well as MLB Scouts. An All Star team will be chosen to participate in  the All Star event which will be played at Red Sox's Fenway Park August 19th and Yankee Stadium on August 20th 2012.
 
The All Star teams will be selected by Ray Fagnant (area Red Sox scout) for the Red Sox team and Matt Hyde (area New York Yankee scout) for the Yankee team. They will announce the selected players for the All Star teams after the Bentley University tournament playoffs.
 
For the past three years many players have participated in the two day playoffs at Bentley Tournament with two All Star Teams competing at Boston's Fenway Park in 2009, New York's Yankee Stadium in 2010 and 2011.
